blOwing the mets away...
wow -- what a spring so far for orioles young studz!! it reminds me a little of 2005 except this time let us pray erik bedard doesn't come down with a trick knee. and let us assume ramon hernandez will keep his hands away from 95-mph pitches and avoid a dumb javy lopez-type injury.
today the wayward o got a look at the birds vs mets on nyc cable. it warmed my birdie heart to see the orange and black all rarin' to go even if it was the 2nd string at best ... who is ruddy yan? and how come he can't catch a fly ball?

oh man cabrera can bring it. looks to me like he's taken some of the herky-jerky out of his windup and tightened down the whole deal in order to get the ball over the plate. his line was something like: 3 innings, 1 hit, 4 Ks and no walks ...... yawsome.
btw --- el duque um looked kind of rusty and old. he literally threw a 48-mph curve ball. he wasn't fooling anybody. a young birdy in training named donachie (DON AH CHEE) took him wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy downtown.
