I just hope that poor Trembley is getting some money for this, because he's out as soon as the wheels fall off again next year.

i have to disagree, sponsort. i have to believe that macphail and company know that the one consistent in the last ten years is the inconsistency of this team's front office and managerial positions. if you look at the winning teams, most of them have stuck with their guns in those departments.
it's clear that unlike sam perlozzo, dave trembley actually knows how to manage the game. if the team flops again next year, it will likely be from lack of talent or an excess of youth - not a slew of mistakes from trembley. players who don't get down with his style will either have to find a way or pack up and leave. i think DT is here to stay for next year and beyond because this team needs to stop the managerial revolving door in order to have some sense of stability.
Trembley needs a few things to be successful, including another big hitter and a pitcher or two (or three), but he really needs an organizational-wide effort to work on the players' midsections. The O's have to lead the majors with time lost to strained obliques. That tells me they're doing too many crunches and not enough Swiss Ball work, Pilates, swimming, anything involving core strength.
Which also makes me wonder - with the steroids and hGH crap hitting the O's the past couple of seasons, how can Bancells STILL get a free pass year-after-year?
i have to agree with your there, man. it's time for bancells and his hgh and his oblique strains to hit the road. can't hurt, right?
