This pending deal with Seattle should be a no-brainer. McPhail gets props for his Miggy deal and this would put the Os in a good position to start - just start - putting together a championship club.
Sherrill had the rep of being a specialist, a guy who can only be effective against lefties but that is not the case.
Good candidate for the closer spot until Ray returns...in 2009.
