This off-season the Janquis and Mets, each with new-stadium revenue and a painful 2008 memory, will break the bank to get the top free agent pitchers. Red Sox and Cubs will also be in there. This is not the time for the Os to try to outbid for pitchers like Sabathia or Burnett (with his history of injury). I say: put it all on the line for Texeira if he indicates an interest in coming to Ballmer.
