Theory has it that we play to the level of our competition. If this is correct, we're in trouble with the Nationals with the 3-game series beginning tonight.

Well we beat the Nats 2 of 3 last time we played them, so I'd have to disagree with your "theory".
It's not my theory; it's a theory that is bandied about frequently in discussion groups. Moreover, the previous Nationals series is too small a sample size to disprove the current level-of-competition theory.
i'm going to say we're going to stomp the nats. just a dumb prediction though.
